While the acceleration is much quieter than a combustion engine, we can’t promise you won’t break the silence with a few oohs and aahs. Built for Canada
The ID.4 features an available heat pump to help preserve range. Its heated front seats, heated mirrors, heated steering wheel and heated windshield will ensure a safe and comfortable drive. So if you think this German-engineered electric vehicle can’t handle the Canadian cold, think again, eh.
Available AWD
Whether you’re cruising around or roughing it a bit, the ID.4 with available All-Wheel Drive can handle it all. It also features a second electric motor at the front wheels to intelligently distribute additional power when and where it’s needed most.
Charging***
Range anxiety simply isn’t a thing with ID.4. On the road, you can charge 10% to 80% in an estimated 30 minutes. That means a 10- minute charge can add almost 100 km of range on a DC fast-charger. At home with the available Electrify Canada HomeStation™, it can take as little as 7.5 hours to reach full charge on a level 2 residential charger. So just plug in your ID.4 at bedtime, then wake up in the morning ready to go.

Statement Package
With this upgraded, available package, you’ll make a statement everywhere you go – hence the name. New enhancements to the Statement Package include an upgraded digital sound system with subwoofer, heated rear seats, Climatronic® three-zone front and rear electronic A/C, Area View 360˚, and leatherette door inserts.
Black Roof
Add this distinctive black roof* to the Statement Package to give your ID.4 a cool finish that stands out even more on the road.

Panoramic Glass Roof

Heat Pump
Get as much driving range as possible in winter with this available heat pump. Electric vehicles without a heat pump rely on a resistive heater alone to warm the cabin, similar to an electric space heater. This energy-efficient heat pump helps with the task of regulating the cabin temperature. The heat pump cycles an environmentally friendly, CO 2 -based refrigerant under high pressure in a closed system between states of matter to generate heat more efficiently than a resistive heater could alone.

Can the ID.4 accommodate a tow hitch or roof rack?
Absolutely! When you select the ID.4 Pro AWD, it comes standard with a tow hitch receiver capable of towing up to 2,700 lbs. Plus, every trim of the ID.4 comes with roof rails. Just add crossbars and a roof rack, and the ID.4 is ready for your next adventure!
When will a Volkswagen PHEV be available in Canada?
Both the ID.4 and the upcoming ID. Buzz are Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) based on our powerful MEB platform. Our current priority is to continue bringing BEVs to Canada, rather than PHEVs.
What is the difference between the ID.4 and ID. Buzz?
The ID.4 is a fully-electric compact SUV. The ID. Buzz is an all-electric reimagining of the iconic VW bus, but uses the same MEB platform as the ID.4.
Does the ID.4 come with All-Wheel Drive?
Yes! Both rear and All-Wheel Drive versions of ID.4 are available.
Where can I charge the ID.4?
You can charge the ID.4 on the road using any Electrify Canada DC fast charging station. Or, if you’re looking for a level 2 home charger, we recommend the HomeStation™ from Electrify Canada. It’s fast, smart, and streamlined to give you the ease and convenience you deserve at home.
How long does it take to charge the ID.4?
With a DC fast charger, you can charge 10% to 80% in an estimated 30 minutes. That means a 10-minute charge can add almost 100km of range.
When paired with a Level 2 AC residential home charger, the ID.4 can be charged from near-empty to full in as little as 7.5 hours. Charging with a 9.6 kW AC station will take approximately 9 hours, while a 7.2 kW AC station will take approximately 11.5 hours.
Is the ID.4 ready for winter in Canada?
The ID.4 is designed to function even in the harshest of Canadian winter conditions. Every ID.4 in Canada comes with heated front seats, a heated windshield, a heated steering wheel, and most importantly, an available advanced heat pump.
Where is the ID.4 being built?
The ID.4 is being produced at our plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee, which produces electric vehicles exclusively in a fully carbon-neutral process.
Are there government incentives to owning an ID.4?
Yes! The ID.4 currently qualifies for the federal iZEV rebate of $5,000. Depending on the province in which you live, you may be eligible to receive additional incentives. These include, but are not limited, to up to $4,000* from British Columbia’s Go Electric BC Program or as much as $7,000 from Quebec’s Roulez Vert program. The Roulez Vert program also offers an additional rebate of $600 with the purchase and installation of Electrify Canada’s HomeStation™. That makes owning and driving an EV even more affordable and one step closer to our vision of Electric for Everyone.

Like all our VWs, the ID.4 comes with a 4 year/80,000km* new vehicle limited warranty. In addition, the powertrain comes with a 5 year/100,000km* limited warranty, the corrosion perforation limited warranty period is 7 years/unlimited kilometres, and you can have peace of mind knowing that the ID.4 comes with an 8 year/160,000km* high voltage system limited warranty along with 4 years of roadside assistance.

Does the ID.4 battery come with a warranty?
Yes, the battery warranty is included as part of the 8 year/160,000km* high voltage system limited warranty. This not only includes the battery, but it also includes all of the following:
- Protection to net 70% remaining battery capacity
- High-voltage battery module
- Battery Housing
- BMS control unit
- BMS connector housing
- Switch box high-voltage battery
- Connecting cable for battery module
- Module monitor control unit
- Cooling element
- Connector Housing
- Transport / recycling cost
